Katherine Navarro

As Web Designer of SoftCom since 2001, Katherine is responsible for front-end development of our websites, including myhosting.com and mail2web.com. She works closely with our Marketing and Software Development teams, from conception to execution. Although not formally trained in Graphic Design, she also fulfills all graphic design requirements here at SoftCom.
Katherine holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and has held various creative positions in the past. As Product Designer for an export company back in the Philippines, she headed the Product Development department, creating world-class home accessories for European and North American markets. It was while taking a post-graduate Information Technology course at ITI, Toronto back in 2000, that she fell in love with Photoshop and HTML. She completed her programming course but naturally veered towards Web Design. She considers herself lucky to be doing what she loves for a living.
In her spare time, she frequents design, photography, travel and food blogs. Needless to say, she loves to travel, take photos, cook and eat. At home, she can often be found in the kitchen, spatula in one hand and camera in the other. During her previous travels, she has crossed paths with a 6-ft monitor lizard in a Palawan rainforest, experienced an earthquake on her first night in Tokyo, gone up the Athabasca Glacier, witnessed the breathtaking sunset in the Canadian Rockies, visited the Louvre thrice, and watched the whales in Tadoussac.
